Extraordinary Clarisonic Mia Review

As you might remember I got the Clarisonic Mia Face Brush for Christmas and after about a month use now I feel like I can give you a proper review of how it’s worked for me so far. If you have a Clarisonic Facial Brush, I’d love to hear about your experience with it in the comments below :)

How it works:
For those that have never heard of the Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush, it is basically an exfoliating Facial Cleanser“toothbrush” for your face. According to their website, the cleansing brush moves 300 times per second, removes 6 times more makeup and is more than twice as effective than manual cleansing. The Mia switches off automatically after a minute but if you want to keep going, just press the on/off switch again, though I wouldn’t overuse it. The instructions say to use it in light circular around your face.
The Mia comes with a sensitive brush head, but they also have 4 other different ones that you can purchase (normal, deep pore, delicate, and body). It’s recommended that you replace the brush head about every four months. The directions also state that you shouldn’t press too hard while using the Mia as it could reduce its effectiveness.

Charging the Mia:
The Mia is rechargeable and comes with a charger that magnetically attaches to the handle. You just have to set the charger on the handle and “plug” it in – very simple. It takes about 18hrs for the Mia to fully charge, which is a very long time, but you only have to do it once every 2-3 weeks, depending on how much you use it. When the Mia is fully charged it will last for about 20 minutes of use. When you first get the Mia, you have to charge it for 24hrs before using it.

My Clarisonic Face Brush routine:
I use the Mia Sonic Face Brush about every other day, usually in the evening. I’ve read some reviews where people recommend not to use the Mia every day as it can be a bit harsh for the skin, so I decided to start slowly Though I can’t say I’ve seen any irritations on my skin so far, it can make it a bit red right after use bit this goes away pretty quickly.

Most of the time I’m using the Mia with one of the three cleansers above (as well as the Liz Earle Cleanse&Polish  which I forgot to put in the picture). I usually clean my face twice, first I remove my makeup, especially eye makeup, with the Bioderma Crealine (sometimes the Liz Earle), then I use the Mia, and every time I’m surprised to see how much makeup and dirt that is still left on my face. I totally agree that the Mia gives a much deeper cleanse than other cleansers/methods.
As mentioned above, the Mia Face Brush switches off automatically after a minute, you’re supposed to use it for 20 seconds on your forehead, then another 20 on your nose and chin area and then about 10 seconds on each chin. I don’t always follow these steps, I circle it around my entire face and more on the areas I feel need some extra exfoliating. You can also use the Mia in the shower as it’s waterproof.

Results and thoughts
The biggest change I can say I’ve noticed in my skin since I started using the Mia Face Cleansing Brush is that it’s a lot softer/smoother than it used to be. My skin also look more radiant and tightened. It really exfoliate my skin without drying it and I’ve also noticed that I’m using less products on my face than I used to because they absorb into my skin so much better than they did in the past.
Price wise the Mia Skin Brush is in the expensive side, I got mine for Christmas but I know it was bought (not sponsored) at The clarisonicshop24 for $119.00, it is a lot cheaper in the US though, about $79.00. I really think the Mia is an investment, and it truly worth the price. I think the Mia Sonic Brush is different in the way that it seems to have an effect in deeper layers of the skin and I believe because of that it will have long term benefits over time.

Many of you have been asking me to write a post about my skin care routine (it’s coming), but what I can say for now is that the most important part of my routine is cleanse, cleanse, cleanse (and moisturize). After being more focused on cleansing the last couple of months, I can definitely say my skin looks much better. :)

clarisonic mia-Myriad of thoughts

I'm sure that most of you still remember the bloggers hype on Clarisonic, why do I have to buy everything that has so much hype? I bought my Clarisonic Mia 7 months ago, I remember saving for it, as it's pretty expensive investment. Is it actually worth the money? I'm still unsure. Sometimes I love to use it and sometimes I find it useless.  

Yes, I did go through the breaking out stage at the beginning, my skin got very soft after. I liked that, but after a while I just got pretty lazy and stopped using it very often, as I didn't feel like my skin needs such a good clean everyday.  When I bought my Clarisonic Face Brush it's arrived with an Clarisonic cleanser, which was so useless. Didn't really do anything. I think that the main problem people have, is to find good cleanser that will work with the Clarisonic Facial Brush. I really like using La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel, both are great combination. Not sure why, but when I used Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush on daily basic, it made my pores appear larger, and normally you can't see them. It didn't help me get rid of my blackheads on my nose. From time to time I do suffer from break out, the La Roche Posay Gel helps me to get rid of them faster and keep my skin clear, I don't use my Clarisonic Face Brush when I have pretty bad break out, as sometimes it can get worst. I would recommend using the Clarisonic 1-3 times a week, but not everyday, just to give your skin good cleansing. The brush itself isn't the softest, even thought I have the sensitive skin one and to be honest I don't change it as often as recommended as they are expensive.

Clarisonic Sonic Face Brush can be handy, but you can easily live with out it. Wish I didn't buy it, as I feel that good scrub could do exactly the same job. If you have Clarisonic Face Cleansing Brush what are your thought on it?
