Hello beautiful people of the world    As you might know, I’m a big fan of the PINK_CLARISONIC MIA SONIC SKIN CLEANSING SYSTEM, as I’ve already reviewed it in my Cleansingpost, then raved about it some more in theTop 10 Award – My favourite productspost!  When I was asked to express my interest in trying the Clarisonic Mia Facial Brush for Beauty Heaven as part of their Trial Team, I immediately stopped using the Pro unit, which I generally use every other night, unless I get lazy or am lacking in time.     Because I’m familiar with this type of product and how it teams up with my own skin, I’ve determined that despite how long I’ve been cleansing with Skin Care Systems  when I stop using it frequently, my skin starts reverting back to it’s old ways and bad habits, which it did prior to kicking off this trial.  So with my skin all temperamental and driving me nuts    I was ready to start this test drive.  

Clarisonic Mia Facial Brush

The Clarisonic Mia is a compact skin cleansing brush that features a high-speed, oscillating, massage-action to help slough away dead, built-up skin cells and surface dirt, while eliminate impurities from deep within the pores.  More efficient than traditional cleansing methods, yet gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skin, this tool cleans, softens and smooths in just one minute.  

The cordless brush comes with a universal pLink multi-voltage charger, which has an Australia plug, but is compatible around the world if you buy the appropriate country adaptor.    The pLink magnetically attaches to the brush handle for the purpose of recharging and a built-in LED light flashes to indicate the unit is charging and will remain solid when it’s fully charged.  The tool is sealed and waterproof, hence it’s OK to use in the shower and the brush is covered with a clear plastic removable cap to protect the cleaning bristles.  The one speed unit turns on by pressing the power button, located on the handle for easy access and then, using your cleanser of choice (or the trial sized Gentle Hydro Cleanser included with the pack), manoeuvre the brush over wet skin, using small circular motions across the face.  I start on my forehead and without applying any pressure and just allowing the soft bristles to do the cleaning, spending 20 seconds, before moving down across my nose and chin for another 20 seconds, followed by 10 seconds on each cheek.  Finally, I press the power button again to turn the unit off and rinse any cleansing debris from my skin using warm water.

I worried a Clarisonic might be too harsh for my fragile skin, as my therapist advised me to avoid abrasive facial scrubs, especially on the delicate inner cheeks and nose, an area prone to redness, so to prevent aggravating the problem.     As it turns out, the Clarisonic is NOT a scrubber, it’s simply a cleaning device and it doesn’t exacerbate my skin sensitivities at all.     In fact, since I’ve been using this cleansing brush, my skin tone is more even and the redness significantly reduced.    With just under two weeks to fully test the Clarisonic Mia, even with twice daily application, the obvious improvements at this stage are still only subtle.     I do however expect that after a month, when my skin has had time to complete a full cell cycle, I will see even greater results.

The vibrating sensation during cleansing is invigorating and it instantly leaves my previously dull, lifeless-looking skin feeling exhilarated and energised.     Afterward my skin is cleaner, smoother and softer, plus the gunk that’s dislodged from my congested pores, makes them appear refined and less noticeable.  My skin is now better balanced and is not producing as much oil, so my existing pimples clear rapidly and I’ve not suffered any new breakouts.    Even though the changes are only moderate at this point, I’m happy with the general health of my skin, as it’s becoming slightly firmer, plumper and more resilient, with the highlight of my experience is being able to maintain a uniform complexion.

I would highly recommend the Clarisonic Mia as the perfect cleansing tool to complement any daily skin care routine.  It encourages a quick response and delivers impressive, visible results to rejuvenate my skin and over a longer time, I hope to achieve a healthier, more radiant, youthful-looking complexion.

Extraordinary Clarisonic Mia Review

As you might remember I got the Clarisonic Mia Face Brush for Christmas and after about a month use now I feel like I can give you a proper review of how it’s worked for me so far. If you have a Clarisonic Facial Brush, I’d love to hear about your experience with it in the comments below :)

How it works:
For those that have never heard of the Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush, it is basically an exfoliating Facial Cleanser“toothbrush” for your face. According to their website, the cleansing brush moves 300 times per second, removes 6 times more makeup and is more than twice as effective than manual cleansing. The Mia switches off automatically after a minute but if you want to keep going, just press the on/off switch again, though I wouldn’t overuse it. The instructions say to use it in light circular around your face.
The Mia comes with a sensitive brush head, but they also have 4 other different ones that you can purchase (normal, deep pore, delicate, and body). It’s recommended that you replace the brush head about every four months. The directions also state that you shouldn’t press too hard while using the Mia as it could reduce its effectiveness.

Charging the Mia:
The Mia is rechargeable and comes with a charger that magnetically attaches to the handle. You just have to set the charger on the handle and “plug” it in – very simple. It takes about 18hrs for the Mia to fully charge, which is a very long time, but you only have to do it once every 2-3 weeks, depending on how much you use it. When the Mia is fully charged it will last for about 20 minutes of use. When you first get the Mia, you have to charge it for 24hrs before using it.

My Clarisonic Face Brush routine:
I use the Mia Sonic Face Brush about every other day, usually in the evening. I’ve read some reviews where people recommend not to use the Mia every day as it can be a bit harsh for the skin, so I decided to start slowly Though I can’t say I’ve seen any irritations on my skin so far, it can make it a bit red right after use bit this goes away pretty quickly.

Most of the time I’m using the Mia with one of the three cleansers above (as well as the Liz Earle Cleanse&Polish  which I forgot to put in the picture). I usually clean my face twice, first I remove my makeup, especially eye makeup, with the Bioderma Crealine (sometimes the Liz Earle), then I use the Mia, and every time I’m surprised to see how much makeup and dirt that is still left on my face. I totally agree that the Mia gives a much deeper cleanse than other cleansers/methods.
As mentioned above, the Mia Face Brush switches off automatically after a minute, you’re supposed to use it for 20 seconds on your forehead, then another 20 on your nose and chin area and then about 10 seconds on each chin. I don’t always follow these steps, I circle it around my entire face and more on the areas I feel need some extra exfoliating. You can also use the Mia in the shower as it’s waterproof.

Results and thoughts
The biggest change I can say I’ve noticed in my skin since I started using the Mia Face Cleansing Brush is that it’s a lot softer/smoother than it used to be. My skin also look more radiant and tightened. It really exfoliate my skin without drying it and I’ve also noticed that I’m using less products on my face than I used to because they absorb into my skin so much better than they did in the past.
Price wise the Mia Skin Brush is in the expensive side, I got mine for Christmas but I know it was bought (not sponsored) at The clarisonicshop24 for $119.00, it is a lot cheaper in the US though, about $79.00. I really think the Mia is an investment, and it truly worth the price. I think the Mia Sonic Brush is different in the way that it seems to have an effect in deeper layers of the skin and I believe because of that it will have long term benefits over time.

Many of you have been asking me to write a post about my skin care routine (it’s coming), but what I can say for now is that the most important part of my routine is cleanse, cleanse, cleanse (and moisturize). After being more focused on cleansing the last couple of months, I can definitely say my skin looks much better. :)

It's been about eight weeks since I purchased and began using my Clarisonic Face Brush, and so I thought I'd share

my experiences with you all today, as I know a lot of you asked me to update you on my thoughts.

I love this product-Clarisonic Sonic Skin Cleansing System.
Prior to owning this, I had huge spots all over my chin and a few scattered across my cheeks, forehead and around my

nose. Other than being unsightly, they were really painful and made make-up application a pain.
However, from the first day I used my Clarisonic Sonic Face Brush, I saw a reduction every single day in the number

of spots I had. In a month I went from having approx 20 small spots/blemishes at all times, to having no more than 2

at any one time. Considering the amount of water I drink, number of times I cleanse daily, frequency with which I

clean my make-up brushes etc; hasn't increased, this has to be down to my Clarisonic Face Cleansing Brush.

Admittedly around week 2 or 3, I did get a slight reaction in the form of some little bumps appearing on my face,

but I hear that there is often a "purging" stage for all new users, and I'm happy to say that they went pretty

quickly.

Despite having dramatically less spots, it is worth noting that my skin can still get a little oily, however, that

might be due to me changing my day moisturiser to something richer, and I'm not too concerned about this. That's

what pressed powder is for right?! ;o)

Other than clearer skin, the most outstanding thing I've noticed is the turnaround time of my blemishes... before, I

could feel a spot ready to surface for around one or two, quite painful days; it would then surface and hang around

for about a week.
Now however, I feel the spot ready to surface, see it surface and disappear, all within 24 hours - it is truly

insanse. It means that I can wake up with a spot in the morning, but it's gone by the evening, without me

interfering with it in the slightest.
Crazy and a great benefit!

My skin felt smoother and softer to touch from day one, despite the fact that I have dramatically reduced the amount

I exfoliate; my skin also feels plumper and "younger" if that even makes sense.

A few people have commented on how much clearer my skin looks, but for me the greatest compliments came from my

brother and boyfriend who are probably the only people who regularly see me without make-up, telling me (voluntarily

and without knowing I'd changed anything); how good my skin was looking!
I now feel a lot more confident without make-up on, and to me that was worth saving the pennies to purchase this.

One of the claims of the Clarisonic Skin Brush is that it makes products absorb better, which I can't really vouch

for, as I think it is impossible to know.
What I would say however, is that it is a marvellous cleanser, which I don't want to be the forgotten fact amongst

this review. Yes, my main reason for purchasing this was to try and clear my skin up, but even if you have good

skin, but like me wear a lot of make-up, and try as you might, could never quite get your skin completely rid of all

traces, this could be your saviour.

If I've worn shed loads of make-up for a night out or something, I will tend to use a face wipe or some make-up

remover lightly before, then cleanse with the Mia for the recommended 60 seconds, and I am never left with even the

slightest trace of make-up on my skin. NEVER.
In that respect I also think that the Clarisonic Sonic Brush is an economical choice as far as your cleanser goes,

as previously I might have to cleanse my skin 2 or 3 times to remove all of my make-up; whereas now I'm only having

to do it once, therefore using a third of the amount of product.

My main concern with the Clarisonic Mia Face Brush is that my skin would get so used to that level of cleansing that

if I ever skipped it, I would have a horrendous breakout. Whilst I'm by no means advocating falling asleep with your

make-up on etc, I can say that I have trialled what would happen if I skipped using the Clarisonic Sonic Care Face brush for a day or so in favour of "regular cleansing" or falling asleep with make-up on, and it didn't have any

noticable adverse reactions over the next couple of days.


However, when I was a bit under the weather and neglected my routine for a couple of days I did develop a couple of

new spots, but I guess that doesn't come as a surprise as that would happen to most of us, Clarisonic Brushes or no Clarisonic Sonic Facial Brush.
The cleanser that came with the Clarisonic didn't really float my boat... it felt like more of a sterile, no-frills

product and heck, I like a little pampering :o)
Instead I've been using Philosophy's Purity Clarisonic Mia Cleanser, which is lovely.

I would recommend that you use a toner after using your Clarisonic Face Cleaning Brush, as whenever I have skipped

that stage, I have found myself to have one or two new spots the next day, possibly due to the fact that I've drawn

all of the impurities up to the surface of the skin, and therefore need an extra step to ensure the skin surface is

totally clean/clear.

I would not recommend you using the Clarisonic Body Brush for longer than the suggested 60 seconds a time, it will

turn itself off automatically after 60 seconds and that should be adequate.
Do not be tempted to turn it back on and continue using it on a problem area for longer, as I found it dried out the

skin around my nose, as well as prompted a few new spots, the one or two ocassions when I decided to use it for

extra time around that "problem area".
If in doubt about how well you've cleansed, I'd advise that you just continue cleansing with your hands after the 60

seconds is up.

I hope you've found this (lengthy) review helpful if you're considering purchasing a Clarisonic... obviously we all

have different experiences of products, but I've tried to be as honest and thorough with my review as I can; and

will maybe write a very short update in six months time, when I'll still (hopefully) be enjoying this great little

product... or my mini-hairdryer as my brother seems to think it is whenever he sees it in the bathroom.
He's 33, there's no excuse for such sillyness :o)

clarisonic mia-Myriad of thoughts

I'm sure that most of you still remember the bloggers hype on Clarisonic, why do I have to buy everything that has so much hype? I bought my Clarisonic Mia 7 months ago, I remember saving for it, as it's pretty expensive investment. Is it actually worth the money? I'm still unsure. Sometimes I love to use it and sometimes I find it useless.  

Yes, I did go through the breaking out stage at the beginning, my skin got very soft after. I liked that, but after a while I just got pretty lazy and stopped using it very often, as I didn't feel like my skin needs such a good clean everyday.  When I bought my Clarisonic Face Brush it's arrived with an Clarisonic cleanser, which was so useless. Didn't really do anything. I think that the main problem people have, is to find good cleanser that will work with the Clarisonic Facial Brush. I really like using La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel, both are great combination. Not sure why, but when I used Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush on daily basic, it made my pores appear larger, and normally you can't see them. It didn't help me get rid of my blackheads on my nose. From time to time I do suffer from break out, the La Roche Posay Gel helps me to get rid of them faster and keep my skin clear, I don't use my Clarisonic Face Brush when I have pretty bad break out, as sometimes it can get worst. I would recommend using the Clarisonic 1-3 times a week, but not everyday, just to give your skin good cleansing. The brush itself isn't the softest, even thought I have the sensitive skin one and to be honest I don't change it as often as recommended as they are expensive.

Clarisonic Sonic Face Brush can be handy, but you can easily live with out it. Wish I didn't buy it, as I feel that good scrub could do exactly the same job. If you have Clarisonic Face Cleansing Brush what are your thought on it?
